Hi if you get errors on dashboard saying things forward collision limited due to weather conditions etc..then make sure you clean the camera at the top of windscreen outside of course as this can get dirty quite easy..was worried when things were flashing and failing for me but cleaning it has helped..forgive me if been mentioned already

When I get that message I Clean the camera on the front bumper. I think that's the one that the system uses.

Camera front bumper just for parking...

My camera was even fogged up on the inside, it took quite a while for it to go away. The dealer said there was nothing he could do.
Someone mentioned hairdryer on it???

How do we get the written text back on the dashboard instead of the pictogram?

Because the literal information only appears once and for only a short time.

I got the message on Wednesday, and once again cleaned the camera on the front bumper, and the problem straight away went away.

I can’t remember the exact wording, but to do with the auto steering function…

Just looked again the front bumper cam is for 360° parking cams. The one top of windscreen is the radar for driver aids hence if gets snow rain excessive sunlight you get the warnings

Interesting...
It's clearly a peculiar coincidence that wiping the camera lense on the front bumper seems to solve the problem for me.
I wonder if it's the windscreen mounted camera used for lane assist, whether there is also some input from the front mounted camera.
Or by pure coincidence, the action of getting out the car, usually with the drivers door open, cleaning the bumper camera coincides with the windscreen camera clearing.
The problem usually begins to shows itself shortly after I first get I the car if it's been left outside.

To combat the fogged-up camera in the windscreen, I now simply use warm water, which defrosts the windscreen at the same time and it doesn't fog up on the inside.
It's a shame that there are only cameras and no front radar. In heavy fog, vehicles in front that are stuck in the fog are not detected.

When there is fog inside even if you activate the A/C at maximum, the camera may still be fogged and out of order.

It creates the warning messages and I also got a red message some day + a power restriction due to dead driving assist systems.

And last week when driving at night, the interior camera was fogged and again some weird behavior happened with the automatic light system which was in default mode.. couldn't detect the vehicles coming in the opposite direction in the city or just 20m ahead and it turned on the high beam... Had to return to a manual control instead of Auto.

So all these assist modes for driving, the speed limitations, automatic lights, etc are very very annoying everyday !
