There are quite a few commercial charging stations not far from where I live. But none of them seem to be used that much. The reason is not because there are so few EVs. Rather because they are so expensive. Well over 3 times the standard OFGEM electric tariff and some 12 times a typical off peak tariff.

Ok. I fully accept that not everyone can charge at home. But for example Sainsbury's rapid charge price was 72p/kWh.

Many people hunt for the cheapest petrol and the same applies to electric charging.

Well my MG5 was going fine at 28,000 miles on its original front tyres until, on Thursday, I clipped a sharp curb with the front nearside, puncturing that tyre.
I was holding off till nearer winter to replace them, but decided to change the front tyres Michelin crossclimate 2’s.
Now, I thought the car was superb, quiet, comfortable and with excellent handling and performance before, albeit a bit too willing to spin the front wheels.
Last night I did a leisurely hundred mile round-trip to visit daughter and granddog for dinner. The difference in noise levels and comfort was instantly apparent. The steering response and feel is also very noticeable.
I had these tyres all round on my three previous Citroens and loved them.
As usual on the front wheel drive cars the rear tyres look like lasting much, much longer.
( and the new fronts will be fine now after the fitter’s embarrassment at having to swap them round to the correct rotation before I would release my debit card from the grasp of the moths ?)

According to the Telegraph we should have a whip round as you'll no doubt be selling your home and all your other possessions to pay for two new tyres!

Oh no - I was seeing prices of around £150 each but opted to have this backwards rotation expert fit two for £135 each ?
