Maybe someone could just confirm this for me as I see a lot of you talking about "Trophy" and pre/post Face-lift versions of the car.

I'm based in Ireland and the MG5 is being sold as the "Excite" and "Exclusive" versions.
Are these identical to the SE and Trophy Long Range versions being sold in the UK ?

Was there a previous version of the Exclusive available (pre 2024) and then they just rebranded/retitled it for the UK market ?

"Excite" and "Exclusive" were the two trim-levels offered for the pre-facelift MG5 in the UK. Originally there was also an SR (Standard Range) and an LR (Long Range) version, though I believe the SR was quite quickly phased out.

The facelifted MG5 range are the models to which the "SE" and "Trophy" were the trim-levels applicable, as I understand it.

I see. could be a branding thing then.

They're still referred to as Excite & Exclusive here... but my understanding is that whats being sold (and what I've gotten) are the facelifted versions. Spec sheets appear equivalent excl. Miles/KM conversions

vs.

There may be some minor differences in spec. but my understanding is the current Irish Excite = SE in the UK & Exclusive = UK Trophy. I think all facelift cars since its introduction in 2022 have the long range battery as well.
Correct, all FL MG5s sold in Ireland are long range models, but you can get a standard range FL (LFP battery) in most other countries.

There's good info in the Wiki:
