Had a call from the sales rep that sold me the car in February today, general catch up and how ya doin'. During the course of the conversation ( I was asking how sales are going as I'm seeing a lot more around now ) he said that there was a facelift model and an estate coming later this year.
That's all I got - anyone else heard anything ?
Quick search revealed pics of estate, seems to be MG5 replacement possibly. Couldn't find anything about facelift though. Did bloke looking ?

Has anyone any info on a facelift for the MG4? MG Chiswick have invited me to an “Upgrade Opportunity “ with a “considerable support package”. No doubt this will be a hard sell event with good financial terms. I wonder if they are shifting stock in readiness for a new facelifted model? I’d hate to buy the latest version MY23??? (mine’s Dec 22) only to find a new model is released later in the year. Thanks in advance for any info.

The only info so far on a facelift MG4 is that in China, some of their models now come with a 12.3inch central touchscreen rather than the 10.25 inch, and that the XPOWER over there now comes with sports seats in the front, a bit like the MG HS sports seats,

The main rumours are:
  • No external updates bar wheels/tyres
  • Bigger infotainment screen
  • Possibly a big interior update (materials)

Assumptions seem to be this will coincide with the launch of the MG4 Estate to replace the MG5.

A significant interior update would be good as the materials used in the MG4 are ok but being eclipsed by most of the competitors now.

Timing is sometime in late 2024.

In France, someone order a MY2023 SE but not available. So, they say they have a MY2024 with rear view camera, bigger screen, GPS but a smaller battery (49 kWh). We're waiting some news but it's sound good

Beware these offers. I had the same from Glyn Hopkin only to be told that I'm in a colossal load of Neg Eg which is hardly surprising seeing I'm not yet halfway through my PCP deal . ( October '22). I only went along to see whether the deal was amazing spectacular. It wasn't. Even with an Affinity deal ( which I wasn't aware I qualified for when I bought the car). Waste of 30 minutes.

I’m only going for a free coffee. I’m not expecting any generous offer, despite their claims in the email invite.

throw in a heated steering wheel and faster charge speeds and it would be perfect!

If they do that, what would be the benefits to buy a SE long range or a Trophy ?
They won't add heated seats or steering wheel to the SE, and the smaller battery size at 49kwh compared to the current 51kwh for the Standard range is to do with new technology and weight,

You would still go for the SE LR or Trophy LR for the bigger battery

The main reason to buy the trophy would be 360 camera, heated seats and steering wheel, live services on infotainment, and then things such as blind spot detection, door opening warnin, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert,

They have only added the rear camera to the SE to keep it in line with the other models and customer feedback,

All models will eventually get the larger touchscreen, the ones that run out of stock first will get upgraded as part of the new model year, so where there is still stock of the MY23 Trophy thats what you would get if ordering one

Whereas you would get the MY24 if ordering a car such as the SE that there is none left of MY23
