Facelift and estate MG4s on the way

They won't add heated seats or steering wheel to the SE, and the smaller battery size at 49kwh compared to the current 51kwh for the Standard range is to do with new technology and weight,

You would still go for the SE LR or Trophy LR for the bigger battery

The main reason to buy the trophy would be 360 camera, heated seats and steering wheel, live services on infotainment, and then things such as blind spot detection, door opening warnin, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert,

They have only added the rear camera to the SE to keep it in line with the other models and customer feedback,

All models will eventually get the larger touchscreen, the ones that run out of stock first will get upgraded as part of the new model year, so where there is still stock of the MY23 Trophy thats what you would get if ordering one

Whereas you would get the MY24 if ordering a car such as the SE that there is none left of MY23
Yeah I known, I was just saying...

I don't want a rear camera, but I would really like it if my car magically acquired front parking sensors to match the rear ones.
I guess this all says there are many people that don't want the premium software features and other trimmings of the Trophy but would like perhaps some options on SE or enhancements to SE. The thing that pushes me towards Trophy is the heated steering wheel which to the healthy seems like a luxury but with my neuropathy I am in pain even with driving gloves for 9 months of the year when holding a steering wheel and need to wear driving gloves even in summer, yet Trophy is quite a cost increase for one small feature and the LFP battery of the SE looks like the optimum choice to me.

I agree that the LFP battery was part of what pushed me to the SR. I can't really explain it. If someone who needed a longer range asked me what to do, I'd say the NMC battery really isn't any harder to live with day to day, and even if the LFP is longer lived, the NMC is still likely to outlast the car. Nevertheless I like having the LFP.

There are just a few little features I'd like on the SR. Front parking sensors. Electrically folding wing mirrors. The ability to turn off that infernal auto-locking. For me, that's about it. I really don't care about the rest of the bells and whistles, and the more I hear about the Trophy's finicky software the happier I am with the SE.

Having had the necessary to take a passenger with poor mobility recently, I suppose I could add a grab handle above the front passenger door. That's it. But I just love the car anyway.
