MG3 Hybrid+ Comfort
My odometer just passed the 2.000 km (1.242 miles) and my impressions are very good with MG3. No problems so far (fortunately).

Pros:
  • Acceleration. Better than expected. As far as I can remember this is the only case that the claimed 0-100 time is worse than the actual. Many tests report 7 to 7.5 sec for 0 – 100 km/h while MG states 8 sec.
  • Consumption. 4.5 L/100 km (63 mpg) is my average when driving local roads. Pretty decent, I think.
  • Fun to drive
  • Equipment level is very good for the price tag.
  • Good internal space. (for a supermini)
  • The alloys

Cons:
  • Terrible support from dealers. At least in Greece. Their knowledge for the car is minimal. Cannot answer basic questions. An appointment will take weeks.
  • Software needs fine tuning asap.
  • Lot of cheap plastic in the interior.

Tip for new buyers

The dash and menus have a tough learning curve, so do your homework before pick up the car from dealer. Download owner’s manual and read the basics, especially the auto pilot part.

Also watch youtube, these Jerry Pan and CARS series, mentioned many times in this forum:

Quick fixes (that took me some time to discover)

If you cannot make the iSmart app work, even though it was correctly paired: In the settings menu of the car, got to “Privacy policy” and turn on the “Global data switch”

If you constantly get an annoying beep beep while driving, the fix is in navigation settings, sound.

Thanks for your 2k thoughts @4wheel, I think it's true that the Dealer knowledge is somewhat lacking, thank goodness for MGEVs.

Here's Jerry Pan #5 if you haven't already seen it.

Very interesting post by 4wheel! ??

Well done for these useful thoughts!

It would be interesting and very useful if each of us could give our own impressions along the same lines as 4wheel's post.

What do you think MG Clive?

I watched that yesterday @Italy, I didn't realize it was you. What's that you've got attached to the air vent mate?
????

Dear MG Clive

No, it's not me (I would have done better in terms of fuel consumption)! And I'm far from having 2,000 km on the clock.

Like you, I was surprised by the thing hanging over the air vent.
No doubt a pseudo air freshener to avoid the goat smell of certain French people with dubious hygiene ???

It's very trendy and fun to have a beard in France these days.

It's a fashion statement (one that barbers really like) that will obviously pass, like all fashions.
