First road trip tomorrow

Going on our first road trip in the MG4 tomorrow. Heading to Tauranga from Auckland, only about 220km, but the first time we'll be driving for any length of time on the open road. Around 100km of motorway, and the rest 80-90km/h road. Xmas holiday traffic will no doubt affect travel time though.

Charging to 100% tonight, it'll also be its first balancing charge.

Looking forward to seeing how it goes with a fully loaded boot (mainly beer and Xmas food) and 3 people. ?

Enjoy it, we did a 500 mile round trip on the annual "Santa Run' last weekend and I thought the car behaved faultlessly! ?

Car went great. Got just under 15kWh/100km on the way down and a little over 16 on the way back. Higher average speed on the way back due to less traffic, and A/C working a bit harder as it was a very warm day on the way back, probably accounted for the lower efficiency

We didn't need to, but thought we'd give a charging station a go on the way back, as it was time for lunch. Unfortunately, it wouldn't connect with the car. Apparently, that make of charger (Redphase) is known to have issues connecting to the MG.

All-in-all, a very successful first big trip.
