First time travelling from East Kilbride to Leeds with MG4

What is the best way to go from East Kilbride to Leeds via A6? What charging points do I need to use? How to pay? -COMPLETE NOVICE!!!!
Thanks.
Different options available, I'd be using Zapmap as it has a handy route planning function and you can filter the types of chargers you'd prefer to use including payment methods.

Trophy LR so you can assume at least 200 miles for the first stint (or whenever your bladder complains, whichever comes first :) ).

Google maps shows EK to Leeds city centre as 218 miles, so you could maybe do it without having to stop and charge - if so then there's an open to all Tesla supercharger site in Leeds.

If you want to break the journey and take on a charge there are a couple of Instavolt chargers at Booths near Penrith. Maybe look at this link which shows the Google Maps route from EK to Leeds with EV chargers highlighted.

Zap-map is you friend but do check how to submit payment. Some chargers need the appropriate app as contactless does not always work.
Look at possible charging stops, see what company runs them and download their app on your phone. Have at least one alternative if you have difficulty with the first one. It is not as scary as you think.
Plug-in have a toilet break and a coffee by that time you will have enough charge to get you to Leeds.

I would aim to do 100 miles to your first charge.

Just driven from Glasgow to Cambridge, a week after getting my new MG4 LR. Used Gridserve chargers (63p per kWh) at service stations. Very fast charge, easy to use. Download the app to your phone, add your card details.
When you arrive at the chargers, plug in, open the app find the number of the charger you are at, click it on the app and the charge will start.
If you have the MG app too you can monitor the charging away from the car.
When you have charged, click stop on the app or the charger's screen. Unlock the car and the charger cable can then be removed.

If convenient, prioritise open-to-all Tesla superchargers as they are always the cheapest - especially at off-peak times.

You'll also discover how tight Tesla cables can be. After using them a few times at different locations, I still find myself re parking to get some of them in.

... and which version they are. V3 superchargers have short cables (and you'll need the app to be able to pay); V4 ones have much longer cables. Anything before V3 will not be open-to-all (is my understanding).

When I travel East Lothian to Leicester I use the Tesla chargers in Harrogate (and Adderstone, which is not on your route), but you might find the Tesla chargers at Todhills are an alternative.

The ones at Todhills are probably a bit too early for him, especially if starting with 100% SoC. I use them when heading to Newcastle, but I have an SR so it makes sense for me ... Todhills from East Kilbride in an LR just doesn't make sense. (Unless you need to stop to use the facilities anyway).
