Folding mirrors

Looking for advice from you good people. I'm probably one of the few people who still park there car in the garage. I manually fold the mirrors in so I can drive in a bit closer to the left so I can open the drivers door a bit wider. The last two cars I owned when you restarted the car, the mirrors remained closed, but on the MG3 they reopen.
Any ideas how to keep them closed. thanks

You have to disable the autofold setting in the menu.
I do the same, and it cost me 100quid to get my door mirror repaired by my friendly bodyshop!
Now if you want them to fold for example when you park, you have to flick the mirror switch down.

Yes you want to select Vehicle from the menu screen, then Convenience - Rear view Mirrors autofold / unfold.

Thanks, yes that would solve the problem. It's just a shame to lose the auto fold

I too keep mine in the garage , I close the mirrors by using the switch under the dash when going through the garage door and reopen them when through it then put the camera on , it’s then so easy to position the car.?
