Forced change of Dealer.

Our, Richmond franchised MG dealer, moved house, in the year between services, from Southampton centre to Botley, which is a pain to get to on public transport.
Rather than book the service online, I called and arranged the service for whenever the had a courtesy car available. There was a charge for insurance, but this was waived when I returned the car, sadly an ICE job... it did confirm that I couldn't go back to a petrol or manual car as I've been spoilt with the 5.

Reading some of the posts about trying to get an appointment to get your car looked at and/or fixed, it got me thinking, with so many dealerships closing, the waiting times are only going to get longer as more of us are forced to travel to dealerships which already have a large customer base. :(

That is great news! Just this week I booked mine with MG at Bath, as it was only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Bath, rather than a 45 minute bus ride into the centre of Bristol. I'll go check it out on Monday and report back. :)

Drove past Howard's today, and the old MG showroom is now Citroen, so MG must have moved to a different building.

Some information for anyone in or near Weston super Mare, who wants their MG servicing. I called in this afternoon to see where they were. They are right next door to Drive Vauxhall on Aiscombe Way, near to the recycling centre. They haven't even got the signage up over the door yet, I had to navigate to them with the MG flags.

I had a chat with one of the technicians, a young chap who looked like a computer geek from Currys/PC World. :). He knew what he was talking about though, and said that all bookings were made over the phone at their central office (01934 427700).

I asked if they automatically did bug fixes and updates, and he said they did, but if I mention it on the phone, they put a note on the system.

I then asked about the Tesla bug fix and the wide differences in peoples experiences. I mentioned my email exchange with MG and how they said the fix is free, but some dealerships charge for the technicians time. He said as the car had to be plugged in for the service anyway, then any updates/ bug fixes would be applied for free.

When I used the garage before they were very accommodating and the customer support was very good, glad they are back into the fold

Needing to get my ZS EV 2022 (mark2) in for a second service and wondered if anybody had any dealings with dealerships in North Wales? We bought our car in Leeds so bit far to go again (although it was a nice drive). Went to Cheshire Oaks for the first service, and were ok to be fair, but I just wondered about Abergele or Saltney?

Just to confirm now after contacting Howards WSM, it appears Howards is not the dealership any more, but the dealership has been taken over by Drive Vauxhall. Contact number is: 019340218075. At least there is one in Weston-Super-Mare again so it is local

I had call this morning from Howards to tell me that they no longer deal with MG and I would have to make other arrangements. No sh*t Sherlock.
