Forgetting brightness

I have an XPower, and its almost all fine now the software is updated (it now usually remembers the radio stations, and most of the time remembers my phone!). One niggle is the system forgets the brightness of the centre display. I set it as low as possible, but when I get get back into the car, it's appears to be about midway, although the slider on the menu is still low. You need to slide it up and down again to get it back low. Anyone else seeing that?

Yep, it's a known bug ... and mine also does it !

Out of interest , how do you report bugs to MG?

Yeah... it's hard to find sometimes using the search engine. No harm in asking as we're all here to help and sometimes it's just mentioned as a side topic to the main topic

Same with mine, permanently set to low, but on power up it returns to some mid value.

You could try emailing MG customer service (there's an oxymoron) or tell your dealer when you have it serviced.

Yep mine does the same too, usually after preheating the car at night. Shows the brightness as low but the screen is almost dazzling. Touching the brightness bar seems to reset it back to normal.

Yep, same issue; even at night it doesn’t turn “dark” despite having my default set up in ‘dark’. Annoying.

The car was in yesterday for a rattle, and I reported the brightness at the same time. Rattle was a loose undertray, all fixed now with new bolts all round, and they also did the lane-keeping recall update. Still forgets my phone occasionally (weekly) and for some reason the pairing history never has remembers it. My wife paired once and that went in, so it has something to do with Motorola phones as my last Motorola also did the same. it in. Was told by dealer to video the problems so they could send it to MG. TBH, happy with the service from the dealer (TNS, Kings Lynn).

I've used 3 Motorola phones with my Trophy with only occasional pairing requests which I ignore. I plug in AA and the Bluetooth reconnects until the next request at some random time in the future. The phone reports saved connections off 'MG4' and 'SAIC_w_Car'.
