My car has been in the dealership now since February ? Problems with the radar and also waiting on China ? Also waited 13 Months…… Yes I said 13 Months !!!! for a touch up paint pen as when my car arrived from China in December 22 it had a paint chip in the drivers door ? and they couldn’t get the part ?? What on earth ??? Never had as many problems with a car manufacturer in my life ?? Also problems with the braking system and fans no longer operating from the Center console safe to say when I do get it back it will be changed out for another EV but sadly NOT A MG ? Maybe if it was still British owned we wouldn’t encounter these problems I have lost complete faith in my car which is never a good thing it is an MG ZS EV Trophy LR went for top spec thinking it would be the best ……… Sadly how wrong I was ?Someone reversed into me when I was parked and his towbar took out the sensor. Was in the shop for nearly 3 months waiting for parts and then had to be calibrated by an MG engineer.
May have been my post. I hit a pheasant and it twisted the radar round a bit. With a bit of brute force, I was able to get it straight and working again, how well calibrated it is I don't know. No the pheasant did not survive. There is another thread on front radar somewhere. If you use the search function, you should be able to find it. I seem to recall someone put it back in place and it calibrated itself.
Perhaps it is endemic in the UK to get bad service. I remember a motor scooter I had back in 1961 ( I emigrated in late 1964) that went in for a brake job, the first time I used the rear brake the nipple fell off the end of the brake cable!!! Also they filled the batteries from new with far too strong acid and ruined them. But 3 months for 8 miles must be some kind of record (at least I hope so). I now have to get my driving licence renewed as I'm 84 in September, but my ZS EV has only had one software problem apart from the idiot who backed into me.I think NZ is less isolated from China than the UK!
Having said that, I needed 2 doors in 2021 and had no problem at that point.
Going back to 1968, when MG really were MG, I had to wait over 3 months for a road spring for a Midget - and that was in Oxford, about 8 miles from the factory!
