Front wipers - lifting to clean or change blades

When cleaning the car at the weekend I noticed that the front wipers can’t be lifted in the usual way because the foul (and take the paint off, in the process) the bonnet.

When it comes to changing the blades, how can the wipers be lifted?

After turning off the car, operate the wiper switch, and the wipers go to the service position, in the centre of the screen, so they can be lifted for cleaning/replacement without damaging paintwork. Lots of cars are like this, and it’s in the manual.

there is a full section on wipers maintenance and care in the instruction manual, page 296, covers both front and rear wipers

Remember, remember, remember to place them back on the windscreen BEFORE turning the car back on or they will scrape along the edge of the bonnet when resetting
