Do we have a tool list for this? Anyone on the forum made it?

...Aaaaaaaaaaaaand its out of stock.
do they only make 2/3 or something - surely its a case of buy 50 keep them in stock...
I get the feeling they're a very small operation - so possibly order a small, cost effective batch from their manufacturer and then judge demand. Placing an additional order to be made if it sells out - so, as a guess, I'd expect it to appear for sale again since it's sold out so quickly. Keeping stock means tying up funds they might not have.
I'm waiting to pounce on an MG5 frunk once released!

Fantastic! Love it, box dimensions please? LxWxH with cover on?A £4 frunk with a lidNo moaners please about safety as it houses my V2L cable (that I made for £50) and nothing else. It's also non-permanent and only used when needed.
What size are the bolts ? M3's ?A £4 frunk with a lidNo moaners please about safety as it houses my V2L cable (that I made for £50) and nothing else. It's also non-permanent and only used when needed.
8mm bolts @IanEWhat size are the bolts ? M3's ?
8mm bolts used and some sellotape and Stanley knife as the box has a tendency to crack when you cut into it so the sellotape is to reinforce the brittle plastic.Fantastic! Love it, box dimensions please? LxWxH with cover on?
Now that's just too obvious lol. I tend to make things more difficultNice hot blade would help
The internally threaded rod is 8mm diameter, but what are the actual threadings?8mm bolts used and some sellotape and Stanley knife as the box has a tendency to crack when you cut into it so the sellotape is to reinforce the brittle plastic.
The last thing I put in my boot is the charging cable, on top of the luggageNot as bad as having to unload the suitcases or the shopping to get the boot floor up!![]()
And still getting hands dirty.Apart from having to fumble about in the car getting the bonnet open, and then trying to find the release catch ;-)
I’ve no idea. The internally threaded rod is 8mm diameter, but what are the actual threadings?

From my experience with a frunk in my ZS there was virtually no heat in the frunk - I reckon you could almost carry your favourite chocolate bar in there. I had no issues with it at all. I was looking at a similar thing for the long range five but as the type two cable coils up and nestles on the motor / inverter cover without hassle I’ve never gone down the frunk route.I think you might be overthinking it a little, but I do recall the advice for an MGF was not to use the front for storage, apart from the spare wheel.
Either way I'm not sure it's going make much of a difference in the sort of impact where you're that far into the crumple zones, both in the F and the new ZS. Bear in mind there's a rather hefty motor and invertor just under that bit of plastic.
I'd be more concerned about heat to be honest. But then I've no idea how warm it gets in there.
look back at my thread “ unfaff with a frunk”. There’s virtually no heat rising from the electric bits - I think you could carry your mars bar safely under the bonnet.I think you might be overthinking it a little, but I do recall the advice for an MGF was not to use the front for storage, apart from the spare wheel.
