When in Auto and using petrol the gear box seems to labour and wants to change up. It makes for a jerky ride. Comments?
My windscreen has developed a crack. It has all the signs of a stress fracture. Comments?

Hi
The window and gearbox was that in the cold weather, I have a small mark on my window and I was thinking that. When under 0 I have found a jerky until the car warms up, think it the ICE not the gearbox as in EV it’s normal.

Windscreen damage is normally going to be considered wear and tear.

The MG warranty states: 'Glass Crack 3 months or 1k miles' if your under these you might be covered, but only if it is a manufacturing defect.

On cold mornings when the heating requirements forced use of engine, it can be heard having hard time charging at low speeds

Check whether it is from a rock chip - use a ball point pen and ride it on the crack, if at any point the pen hits a resisistance, thats where a rock hit the windshield, that's where the crack originates. Rock chips/glass damage are covered by insurance in our neck of the woods........
