Grinding noise at full lock

Well this isn’t good. 5700 or so miles and 3.5 months into owning and I’ve got a disconcerting noise from the front end (I’m assuming there as it feels like it and it happens at full lock (either direction)) when I corner hard (at slow speed obvs), happens just before full lock and fades in. Almost like something rubbing. Will check it in the daylight and maybe book it in at the dealers.

Just wondered if anyone else had noticed anything? (particularly on the XPower as it might be unique to them having the extra bits up front)

Ooh could be given when it’s started. It’s in need of a wash off too, will see how it behaves after a quick shower. Not that I’m gonna try blasting the grease out of anywhere, just a snow foaming.

OK so in typical style I did nothing. Well not entirely true I didn’t have chance to do anything. The next day it was… fine? Weird as it was quite pronounced but then yep, seems fine again at the moment.
Just wanted to update. I’ll return to here if it recurs of course.

My MG4 model X developed what may be the same issue about two weeks ago. Loud grinding/squeaking at low speed triggered by a sharp 3/4 lock turn. Reversing for as little as 15 metres cured it for a while but it came back intermittently. Initially I suspected some problem with the steering rack or binding brakes so booked an appointment with the dealer. I've attached a phone recording - rather poor quality as I had to hold it out of the window while driving, but it gives you the idea.

Last time I heard something similar it was a bit of gravel caught between the caliper and brake disc. ?

The dealer told me that the problem was that a stone guard that sits under the car right at the front had come loose and they simply tightened it but since they don't allow customers to access the car while it's up on the lift I'm finding hard to visualise how it could create that row without causing damage to itself or some other part. From the customer waiting area I was able to see them working on the bolts where the guard must be, about 20 minutes before they pronounced it fixed and since I got it back there's been no trace of the problem. Even so, I'm going to try to check out the underside in that area when I get the chance.
If anyone has a similar issue but a different (confirmed) diagnosis it would be good to hear from them.
PS No road salt or gritting here, given it's winter and an average of about 27°C.... (sorry if you're in the UK!)

I’ve got a MGZS hybrid. Had it 28 days and making a grinding noise on full lock on either side. I’ve been told by the dealership I bought it from that it’s due to no lubricant on the brakes!!!! But I’m not touching the brakes when it occurs. Also got a vibration noise and they are trying to tell me that’s normal when the car goes from electric to engine mode, despite it doing it at speeds of over 30 miles an hour!!!

My ZS Hybrid's front brakes 'squeak' when the car is on full lock but definitely not grinding. The engine can be rather vibratory when going from EV mode into petrol mode at higher speeds but I wouldn't say it's an alarming sound.
