I wonder if anyone with more experience of MG EVs can explain how MG calculate consumption (mi/kWh). The trip today was 88 miles, we started with 100% battery, and over that journey the consumption would have been pretty much the same. The Cyberster provides several numbers:
  1. The average mi/kWh since last reset, in my case the last 88 miles. 3.0 mi/kWh
  2. The car did 88 miles using 39% of the battery. So 88 / (74.4 x 39%) = 3.0 mi/kWh
  3. The car has 61% battery left with an estimated range of 166 miles. So 166 / (74.4 x 61%) = 3.7 mi/kWh
  4. 88 miles travelled plus 166 miles remaining = 254 miles in total, or 254 / 74.4 = 3.4 mi/kWh
  5. The average mi/kWh over the last 50 miles. Displayed = 3.8 mi/kWh

There is a myriad of variables changing all the time and they are most likely calculated over an average time. You will not be alone in trying to decipher them. :( good luck!
A better answer is , there is a tiny Chinese person wedged under the dash with a road map, stopwatch and an abacus , who can change the consumption figures on the display?????
