I wonder if anyone with more experience of MG EVs can explain how MG calculate consumption (mi/kWh). The trip today was 88 miles, we started with 100% battery, and over that journey the consumption would have been pretty much the same. The Cyberster provides several numbers:
- The average mi/kWh since last reset, in my case the last 88 miles. 3.0 mi/kWh
- The car did 88 miles using 39% of the battery. So 88 / (74.4 x 39%) = 3.0 mi/kWh
- The car has 61% battery left with an estimated range of 166 miles. So 166 / (74.4 x 61%) = 3.7 mi/kWh
- 88 miles travelled plus 166 miles remaining = 254 miles in total, or 254 / 74.4 = 3.4 mi/kWh
- The average mi/kWh over the last 50 miles. Displayed = 3.8 mi/kWh
