How do you scan the QR code and where is it

It took me a while to find it. It is hidden in the settings menu on the home screen.

From the home screen, swipe left to find the settings icon.

In settings, the thin, righthand grey strip scrolls independently of the larger left hand side. At the bottom of the thin strip is the binding option where the QR code is.

Hope that makes sense. :)

A complete a UX fail for MG.

There are stacks of posts like this one, this with people asking the same question.

MG need to rethink the interface.

Yes. Drag the right hand gray strip right down to the bottom of the list. "Binding".
We just tried with two android phones and the QR code came up with an error unrecognised.
you need to download MG iSmart app first and when you sign up and log in, you scan QR code in the app

Does it work for ZS 2024, where is hidden?

read the manual and search this forum, all explained in detail ?

Another MG UX fail.

They should be correcting this, but I doubt they ever will.

Probably the first thing most owners will need do to the car, and it’s buried in a menu item that you need slide (and doesn’t intuitively indicate that it even slides).

Bonkers.

I had to google it and show our sales rep where it was, she went hunting knowing it existed but couldn't find it.

Hello
I have the 72 plate version.
When I go to that section of the menu there is no option to scroll up or down, it is just a blank grey strip.
Does this mean my car doesn't have the software?

Not sure if these are good enough, it is very bright and I have done them from my phone.
Hopefully you can make out the 2 photos, one is the home page and the other is the settings page.
There is no user option.
Thank you
Rob

look at the YouTube video in the post above above from 2:50 min to see which menu to go to. It's in the "settings" tab, then on the right hand side, vertical tabs to scroll down

Have you managed to find it? You also need MG iSmart app to download from Google Play Store (or Apple).
