How long to wait for home charger installation for Mobility car?

There’s no point in buying an Ohme type 2 to use at public chargers. They’re actually banned on PodPoint, anyway.

Get the Commando version for home and a standard type 2 cable for out and about.
That's what I have done.

how much was the cost, excluding the ohme cable, for Parts and labour?
I had an electrician I know do it for me.

Parts cost around £200.

It needed new separate consumer unit, installation of separate earth rod and the interlocked switched commando socket.
Items like the earth rod box are disproportionately expensive.

Best to get a few quotes.

On balance it probably would have been cheaper to get BP pulse to install a charging point.
(With an untethered charge point you can plug in an Ohme cable).

In July, when I ordered the car, the dealer ordered the charger with Pod Point, I picked up the car 5 days later and got the charger fitted 5 days after that. There was a little email communication between Pod Point and myself in between, filling in online forms and sending pictures of my drive, electric meter and consumer box to them but all in all 10 days after ordering the car.
