HV battery Shut off

Whilst trying to charge our MG 5 at a rapid charging point, the machine gave an error message and then the car battery shut off with the message, HV battery shut off.
Car won’t now go into drive or reverse, and so we are waiting for RAC, who are not promising to arrive for hours. Is there anything we can do ourselves?

How high SOC did you try to charge to.
If you go over 80-85% the charge rate will drop off and over 95% you may get what you have posted. If you have a 10mm spaner then remove the negative terminal on the 12V battery for a few minutes.

… then you will be delighted to hear that alternatively, one can clear fault codes with an OBD dongle and app (worked for me)..
