Hey @bowfer i mean the bolts on the wheels being rusty on collection and the caps are just covering them over ? I don’t expect rust bolts on the wheels when it should be brand new, yes maybe I used the wrong word with upsell on the tyres I mean the 500 pound they try to add on at the end for replacement tyres and alloys

If you can’t see them, who cares?

Most certainly am ? that car is getting stripped apart and rebuilt on the lot. Checking every inch of that vehicle lol, I would like to keep the covers on for the aerodynamic aspect but I do see myself removing them completely

If you do remove them you will need some centre hubcaps, cos it won't come with any!

Thanks @LeeP yes I did see that will look for a site once the car is here. I heard it would affect my battery percentage by taking them off but I’m only doing town driving really so shouldn’t be too bad

Let’s see if they honour the provision of a type 2 cable which was agreed at time of sale. I see others are getting granny cables now. I’ll post on my experience and whether the fixes have been done before delivery.

Just had confirmation from the dealer I will be getting a type 2 cable. I asked the question last week as I was told at purchase time it would come with a type 2. On that basis I bought a granny. The sales person spoke to someone and all sorted.

Picked up my LR this afternoon. Was assured the bulge issue was sorted at the factory. Guess what. So just the two faults so far whistling passenger window quarter panel and the undertray bulge.
No oil on the underside but I’ll keep an eye.
Trim all good. No scratches to lights or black panels. Heater working. iPhone connecting. Seat covers all ok.

Hi, how was the collection for you, did Glyn Hopkin (Kempston) treat you well, answer all your questions etc - did they actually know the answers? How much time did they allow you for the handover? Did you get to bind the car successfully and activate the sat nav OK (assuming you have a Trophy)? Disappointing to hear about the dreaded undertray bulge, looks like nothing is going to be done about it... I am collecting my car from them tomorrow (weather permitting!) so will let you know how I get on.

Yes no rushing at collection. Can not get binding done. Comes up with this message

Sorry forgot to add I asked for it to be charged as I’m still on granny cable at home. Had 91%

Not a clue what else to do. Had this at the dealership and put it down to poor signal.

That terminology sounds to myself like the car hasn't been activated to allow esim functionality...might be wrong but if your phone connects to the Internet via data then I would focus on the vehicle
