2022 ZS LR. On the Infotainment screen top level (3 sections, Range, Music, nav), music from the USB is shown OK (Album graphic, title, forward and back buttons etc). When you touch that USB section of the screen to expand it, the screen becomes a greyish blank colour.
Also when using the Nav function to show EV Charging, restaurants, fast food, Coffee etc, Motorway Service stations are completely ignored and don't show.
Im not convinced these two items are related.....anyone had similar?

USB music is rubbish, it displays the tracks in an alphabetic list of the tracks. you can't select an album or create a playlist. I use Spotify or DAB.

I have been using USB for years now in my old D-Max with the Clarion head unit plus an Android after the Clarion died and now with the MG ZS.
I set it up with all the albums in folders plus I made another folder that I copied every track into +3000 & called it "AllShuffle" and finally played it in Random mode. This gave me months of my music just being played randomly.
The Clarion worked fine but the Android seemed to not be able to keep up and would pause for a second or so and then carry on playing. Using the same stick in the ZS has fixed the pause problem so it is not a stick problem, more the Android not being fast enough.

One other problem I have seen on both the Android & ZS is that they both lose the MP3 info and the image and track info shows as "Unkown" , stopping and restarting the head unit brings the info and image back.

It would have been nice if the head unit had a solid state drive (SSD) internally that you could dump your music onto, save using a USB port.

Any suggestion on how to fix this, I don't always have my phone with me when I go out.
