The positives - the app and remote control, panoramic roof, lots of toys, charging flaps, 360° camera, BSW, amazon music heated seats and steering wheel, touchscreen, 11 kW AC charging.
Downside - no sunglass holder, manual dip on rear mirror, no regen on cruise control (why?), Intelligent speed assist can't get data from GPS, very heavy boot and bonnet, spoken welcome message with random wrong date. When it is charging it does not seem to say at what rate it is charging (or maybe I have not worked that out)
On balance, I would say the Kia is nicer to drive, but noisier.

The iSMART App shows the rate at which the car is being charged in kW. The in-car display shows current and voltage, so a bit of math is required :-)

“spoken welcome message with random wrong date” - mine doesn’t speak to me when I power the car up. I just get a READY message and a quiet bong.

The EU version and the UK version have a surprising number of small differences. For instance, the SE (comfort) version seems to have roof rails and tinted windows in the EU but not in the UK. There is also 11kw 3 phase charging in the EU.

I will be able to confirm this (or not) if I ever get the car, but I do wonder why the differences exist - surely it would be easier to manufacture if the only real change was the side of the car the steering wheel was put (and associated changes)?

I think for new orders MG are dropping this and all future GEN2 ZS EVs will be single phase at max 7kW. A bit like the dropping of the moonroof for future orders .

You're not the only one to mention this voice greeting with incorrect date  .

Around pages 108-9 of the manual indicates you can access voice options via the general settings, may be worth checking there unless someone else can confirm exactly. If there are no suggestions forthcoming, maybe message one of the users affected to see if/how they resolved it:
We experienced number three also. The correct date is announced on the first start up of the day, but subsequent start ups are announced at 1 January 19. We have just turned this feature off as it was so annoying.

Every morning when I switch on trophy connect, there is a greeting voice saying today is 1st Jan 2019. It was a demo car built in July 2021. However during my lunch break, it changed announcement to the correct date.

To be fair, for me, I expect this is only really useful when traveling (stopping at a restaurant, cinema, shop etc) or on a time of day tariff in a house with 3 phase - otherwise an overnight charge would normally cover it either way. In Portugal the cost of the electricty seems to be based on the maximum KW contracted from the grid - for us that's just 6.9kw at the mo, though that can be easily upgraded if needed, and it is in addition to whatever solar we produce - but even a 7kw charger would not be useful to me at the moment!

I’ve set a custom greeting on mine which makes me chuckle:

“Hello silly human. Let’s go!”

I’m currently getting my “needs service” light sorted out at the dealer - I wonder if the mechanics found it funny?

My date announcement seems to kick off randomly sometimes well into the journey - but always the right date. (Need to see where to switch that off though)

In Denmark they now have 6 options.

Standard range
Long range basic
Long range with everything.

BUT....Each of these cars also now can be had with both 1 phase and 3 phase chargers, but as most outlets in Denmark are only rated at 16A, you will only be able to charge it at 3.6 KWatts

If you want the 3 phase charger it will cost an additional £575, so the MG ZS EV LR Trophy Connect i drive, just went up 575 with the specs i have.

Most, if not all destination chargers in Denmark that does 11 KW charging is 3 phase, so those will only be able to do half, 3600 watts. A flat battery can not be charged fully overnight on a 3600 watt charger.

It does not have heated steering wheel.

And the welcome message can be turned off.

Charge rate can be seen in the app.

Thanks for all the replies. Here in France 22 kW AC chargers are everywhere (maybe because of the Renault ZOE) When I charged the car today at a LIDL 120kW (free) charger, the information I could see was 123A, 383V, which equates I think to 48.641 kW. How do you turn off the greeting?
