Insurance Renewal time again, any recommendations?

It's that time of year again when our insurance needs renewing. We're with regular standard Aviva at the moment, they are proposing £515 renewal (last year was £443) so it is a significant increase, if not massive.

Looking on MSM, I can find quotes for £425 via Darwin, who I've never heard of but apparently are part of Admiral group.

Anyone have any particularly good recommendations for insurance providers for our MG4 Trophy?

Thanks in advance!
We followed a link from an oldies' website and ended up with an excellent deal with LV. Even includes cover for running out of battery.

Important you look for quotes around 21 days before renewal

We're with LV on both cars and house insurance and SWMBO just renewed her MG5 and it was about 15% less this year.
(house insurance was up though :( ).

We're were with LV, but this year renewed with Allianz (as got a £45 cash back via quidcocompare ) - they are all the same company / use the same system / database. LV were excellent back in Sept 22, when I was trying to insure the car (as it didn't have an insurance approved code, or similar) - I've consistently paid £300-£400 / year for 12,000 miles.

Last year we paid LV= (the = sign is part of their name) £828 for fully comp 71 plate Renault Zoë and 22 plate MG ZS on a combined insurance deal and after a long convo with LV= about reducing the v large increase for each car insured separately whcih had a substantial effect (reduction). This year's just come through will be £846 with £450XS for each car. My MG down £5 her Zoë up £24. I am 76 this year and she will be 72. We did the Meerkats and could buy individual insurance that'd save us about £100 using Darwin but have decided to stay with LV=. On their site LV posted 'where your insurance money goes' as a bar chart. 3% profit they say.

Here is LV cost b/dn

Just had my renewal quote from Aviva Zero.

Last year it was £392, this year they've quoted £327. A decrease of 17.6%.

I've done my usual check on the comparison sites and they are at least £30 more with less cover.
