Anyone aware of an intermittent loud beeping sound when driving - generally happens in the area of the MG dealership - which happens to be about a mile from my home so quite annoying. This has also happened today in a different area of town on a main road. Picked my new car up last week and has already been back in to the dealership workshop but no resolution. They are going to raise it with MG Technical. I can't see anything obvious with the settings of the dash screen. No warnings show on the dashboard at the time of the beeping,
Apparently this happened with the dealership's test drive vehicle of the same model but they say this intermittent beeping has stopped now of it's own accord.
Anyone experiencing this issue and aware of the resolution, I would be grateful to know. Quite disappointing for a brand new car - the dealership just say it's such a new model they aren't familiar with it yet.

Which model do you have ?

I would suggest it's the safety systems or radio/gps

It sounds like the speed camera warning. Far too loud, but fortunately you can switch it off by going into the settings on the sat nav menu.
There is an option for speed cameras, and then you can set it to audible or visual, I have it set to just visual.

Hi - did any one find a fix for this at all ? I have attached a ZIP folder with the video in hopefully it helps or works.
Thanks

@Hazey Is this you ?

As I said above, the way to switch the 'Beep' off is by going into the settings in the Sat Nav menu and then go into the speed camera option. You can choose visual and audible or just visual. Obviously select 'just visual'.
You mention Lane assist, you can set the system to actively help you steer through gentle curves, and virtually drive itself in conjunction with the adaptive cruise control. You have to select the option in the MG PILOT menu.
I couldn't find any insurance companies prepared to quote except NFU Mutual, who I insure my other car with.

Nope, I just found it in the same way as they did...
What' I'm surprised about, when I rang MG UK, their own technical team had no idea!

You could not find any insurance company quoting for the new MG3 Hybrid ??

Just got loads of quotes back from moneysupermarket.com without any issues and much cheaper than an all EV quote

Yep I’m thinking that now the insurance companies are happy to quote, when I was looking end of April the car had only just been launched, and in some cases wasn’t even listed.

Does the system memorize this setting after turning it off or defaults back to audio beeping next time you drive?

Once switched off you don't need to keep resetting when you go back to the car.

If anybody doesn't want to search for it in the video, it's here at 13.5 minutes >

Thank you so much this was happening every time I went out in the car. This solved the problem so easily. I can see why the problem appeared so complicated as it was warning me about 10 different things - school zones, speed cameras, hospitals, congestion charges etc which are everywhere in London!!

Hi I had the same problem - I found if you go the map settings and put it on mute so far no beeping.
Hope that helps.
