Is Voice activated Amazon Music possible ?

I was very pleased to see that I could login to my Amazon account and access my Amazon music subscription! However, to play any music of my choice requires manually entering the artist and then selecting the album / song etc. Is there a way that I can issue a voice command (my iPhone uses SIRI) to play music in a similar way that I do on my Amazon Echo devices in the house? It would be awesome if that were possible.

So it's separate from my mobile phone then (where I have 100+ GB per month) ? Not sure what 1GB means in practical terms of playing tracks and album ?

Could you use Amazon Music through CarPlay? That way it would use your phone data, and it seems you may even be able to use Alexa controls to control it, based on a quick google, but it's the result from America, so may be different in France.

In my experience the Amazon Music that comes with the car works a bit wonky, I only have it setup as a backup if I ever want it (comes free with my Prime membership), but I tend to just use CarPlay with Apple Music.

Yeah, I just use my Google YouTube premium music via Android Auto. I was amused that I finally found a use case to actually connect to the Amazon Music access I have as a result of my Prime membership.

Still haven't used it in anger

Yeah same! I had never even looked at it until I got the car, now I can't really be bothered setting up playlists and all that.

For myself using Android Auto with an Amazon Prime Music Subscription
= A Long press on the voice button.
"Play Steelers Wheel Stuck in the middle with you, on Amazon Music'

And boom of it goes.

My actual era is more Adam and the Ants really, but today I was playing the Reservoir Dogs Soundtrack.

If you fluff what your asking it (as I often do) just wait and try again.

Same with navigation.

Short press is for car related options, most of which I'm still not au fait with even after 14 months!

Not in my experience. I have Amazon Music access as a benefit of our Amazon Prime membership. I can log onto the Amazon Music panel and use it.
The first couple of times I tried to authenticate I got a URL error, but after I connected the car to my WiFi I found it worked just fine.
In fact I also finally got the ismart app working after getting a reliable wifi connection for the car.

Unfortunately an Apple issue with Amazon, not an MG specific thing.

I use amazon music in my MG with a dongle. It works great (just press and hold the voice button, same as asking google to call someone) and understands my Irish accent easily as you can train google to recognise your voice. Easily done my going into your google settings. Still though google can still struggle with some Irish place names when asking for directions lol
