iSmart App Crash Google Pixel 9 Fold

Unfortunately, the issue still occurs. Hopefully the app itself will have an update that fixes it, but wouldn't hold breath.

I have other apps that can open the camera and scan QR codes just fine, so my assumption is something needs fixing in iSmart

I have a Pixel 9 Pro and had the exact same issue (also on the Pixel 7a and the Pixel 4a). I had to pull out the Pixel 3 to get it to finally work (more outdated software). I installed the app on that phone, was able to bind it as it didn't crash, then put that one away and went back to th 9 Pro, which I could use to log into the same account.

Same issue here with the Pixel 9 pro fold. App opens the scanner, and instantly returns to the home screen. Tried using my iPhone, that works with scanning. Only to find the car still bound to the original owner.... So have to wait a couple of days before MG gets too unbinding the old owner from the car.

Mine was slightly different on my Pixel 9. In the app when pressed scan to bind and scanned the qr code, it went to the scan to bind in the app again, and was stuck in that loop. I did the scan on my iPad and then logged back in on my phone, all OK now.

Just a heads up. The iSmart app was updated 02/03/2025 and a few days later, the March Pixel drop happened. I have both installed on my phone now and the camera is now working in the app.

I'm unsure if it was the app update or the feature drop that fixed it, but in the release notes for the iSmart app, it simply says 'bug fixes'
