Thought I would provide an update on this subject here despite my car being a 23 plate MG5 SE. I am currently having the same problem, unable to Bind car to my ismart account despite following every bit of advice on this forum. Even spoke with Miles by PM who was very helpful. Car was going to dealer on 26th April (earliest date) but may not now need to.Picked up our new MG4 Trophy today, downloaded the iSmart app and registered as a user, eventually found the QR code but no matter what we did we couldn't get the app and the car to "bind". There must be some data getting across as we noticed our nickname is now on the in-car screen, but after many attempts the binding process gave up with constant time outs. I watched the YouTube videos but either the app isn't working (as said above) or the system software has changed. Will try again tomorrow.

Quite, suggests an error-prone manual process, which isn't great.You would think that the VINs for the cars would be added as soon as they left the production line for the dock. ?
Maybe they only do them in batches and/or maybe some VINs got overlooked.

Now had an email from the infamous Gary Smart at MG as shown below, which gives me hope of a resolution soon. Not holding my breath but its a step forward.?

It does look as though some vehicles have not been added to the App. server.
We have asked our colleagues in China for more details, but hopefully the missing cars will be added shortly.

Mine went in yesterday and everything now working . Some software issue at MG but all working as it should now .Sounds like the same issue.
Please post a message in response to this thread to let me/us know if the issue is sorted for you so that I/We can then take it up with the MG Dealer.

Nope, none. Not on the "user" screen or when a "factory reset" goes back to the "configuration".So still no QR code being offered?
Correct. I think that's exactly it. My account is set up on my phone but with no QR code there's nothing to connect it to. The email from MG said:This is going to sound stupid but got to ask. What do you get when you log in to the account? I assume no car linked in? In which case it would appear MG have not fully enabled your vin to present a qr code.
