Android version v2.0.4 is now available in the Play Store. Probably the biggest changes are:

• A new theme is available ... MG 100 Years, which is more than just a colour scheme; rather it is a new skin/layout, especially on the Home screen
• There's apparently an option to request unbinding via the app

Looks like for trophy they have fixed the always on long range battery feature, 80% now says health mode. Dipped into the 100 years skin, and straight back out again...phew.
Confirming unbinding request option, seemingly if the previous owner, or feckless dealer doesn't unbind or answer withing 72 hrs it auto unbinds.

I'm getting a Privacy Notice Declined warning in the new app - how do I get past that?

Check in your car that you've ticked all the options re. privacy etc.?

One other thing to check ... go to Settings (right-side icon) then Settings then Privacy Policy and tap to agree. (I hadn't done this until right now ... but I still wasn't getting any such message like you state though. However the Agree button was highlighted when I checked, so maybe it had still remembered a previous selection. Have you cleared your app cache at any point recently?)

Regarding the updated app ... it still doesn't properly get details until you pull down on the screen to refresh. ?

I had to go out to the car and un-accept then re-accept the privacy policy under settings, which worked.

Does anyone know if the new app skin allows you to check if the car is charging via the home screen, used to bug me that they seemed to remove this functionality in the 2.x app versions

There’s a new IOS version too.

The app now allows you to send feedback direct to MG. My digit is poised………

100 year theme is a dark theme like the original version of the app, thank goodness, so much easier on the eyes. A definite improvement, I hope they keep it or a dark theme in future versions.

You could always see if it was charging on the EV management page. Still the same.

? a classic internet forum exchange ? not a chore but was certainly easier when you could just see from the home screen if charging was actually happening. And the app can be quite laggy and unresponsive in my experience, and not being able to see from the home screen seemed a step back to me.

I'd been using the app all day and hadn't noticed any change, but when I went to try to update to the new version I discovered it had updated itself yesterday! Not sure about the dark mode yet.

The 100 years skin is much better. I have virtually everything I can in dark mode but this isn't just dark mode. Much nicer.

Having updated the app, I am now getting a message "Illegal AppSendDate" and nothing happening.
Any ideas on how to get past this?

Think that's new, and thank you. Switched on in settings, saves a few key presses.

New version of app seems more responsive as well. Definite improvement on previous versions.
