Hello, KERS was dropping to -25 level in its 3rd stage. After my last AC charge, my vehicle was charged to 100% and then KERS started working strangely. Now I can only see the -20 level and the brake grip has decreased, it feels like I am in level 2 KERS mode. I thought it was because the charge was full, but even though it dropped to 65% charge, KERS is still holding low. What is the reason? MG ZS EV

KERS is dependent on so many factors. State of charge / battery temperature.

High state of charge will reduce regen until battery can accept higher current. Same holds true for cold battery - hence the battery heating option to enable higher charging speed

Hello, Where I live, the average temperature is currently 7-10 degrees, last week it dropped to -5 degrees and it was working in this cold. Although the weather is warmer, it is not working now.

Unless you are actively using battery heating option, ambient temperature does not imply battery maintains the same. In passive mode heat absorption and dissipation is slow

Are you saying I should turn on the battery warming option occasionally?

No just don't rely on it being strong all the time. Battery heating option is to ensure optimal temperature for rapid charging (and takes power to do that)

Its a user problem.

Telsa on the dash displays a special icon to indicate reduced regen. Conditions it shows them at high SoC and cold temperatures.
My 8 years / 100k miles with Nissan leaf match with that behaviour.

After I fully charge my ZS, I frequently get a pop-up message stating caution regenerative braking might be impaired.

When fully charged, by definition, there's no room left for more charge.
So yes, you won't get any regen, until the battery discharges a bit. Regen starts happening on mine about 95% OPD becomes available around 93%
