You’d be surprised! ?You should have no issues with that level of LKA.

I had a Scalextric set which was once my Grandfather’s and it was amazing how they could come flying off the track. Who knew that one day I’d be driving a real electric car! You’d be surprised! ?
Hope your drivings improved over the intervening years ?I had a Scalextric set which was once my Grandfather’s and it was amazing how they could come flying off the track. Who knew that one day I’d be driving a real electric car!
Absolutely agree - I've only had my MG4 Trophy for a week now and the LKA is an absolute nightmare - its far more aggressive than on my previous car a Hyundai I30N - lets have a permanent disable option or sort it out MG!Had car for one week and been for a few drives on B class roads. I'm struggling to relax at the wheel. In my previous car I would cruise resting arm on door with fingers lightly controlling steering. Not any more. Two hands on wheel at all times ready to fight sudden unexpected tugs on wheel. Despite keeping in middle of lane I am finding the LKA sensor goes crazy on rough road surfaces (most roads in Scotland), is severely effected when damp road surfaces are drying out as well as repaired road surfaces that are different shade from rest of road. Downright dangerous if you ask me. Its only a matter of time before a MG4 wipes out a cyclist due to this feature.
There won't be a "permanent disable" option. It has to reset every time the car is switched on to receive a 5-star rating from EuroNCAP.Absolutely agree - I've only had my MG4 Trophy for a week now and the LKA is an absolute nightmare - its far more aggressive than on my previous car a Hyundai I30N - lets have a permanent disable option or sort it out MG!
So, basically, as per my experience, this is almost every road in Scotland and be prepared to be killed by the car on such roads. Especially when damp. The manual for the car states clearly that the LKA may function incorrectly on a road with poor lane markings, or with no markings at all, where it may latch on to a rut or something like that and steer the car in an unwanted direction. That's fair warning! It then goes on to say that in that situation it should be turned off IMMEDIATELY. Bold type and italics and so on. Again, fair wawarning. So basically
the only problem with that part of the plan is someone had the somewhat odd idea to make the volume shortcut on the steering wheel change the volume of the Sat Nav for example when using maps on CarPlay, so there would be no way to adjust the volume of the music if those physical buttons weren’t there.I don't want it at all either, but given the NCAP situation the sane and sensible thing is to map one of the useless volume buttons to give the driver an immediate one-press "off" option. We also need a physical button to turn the fog lamps on and off, so that's both volume buttons nicely re-purposed.
I wish.
A physical button is not against ncap rules I have one on my car,on the right side of steering wheel on the dashI don't see why a physical button to turn LKA off would be against NCAP rules at all. We're allowed to turn it off. We're instructed to turn it off while we're driving if it starts to function erratically. It's just that it's impossible to do that without parking up. So people turn it off before they start, pre-emptively.
If there was a single button to press to turn it off, I might even leave it on when I set off. Not as it is now though.

I really can’t get my head around why this was done, especially given that there is a pull down menu to adjust those volumes, just doesn’t make sense to me.
That said, there is no reason at all why the favourite buttons on the steering wheel can’t be programmable to allow changes such as regen or lka etc…those buttons already control different functions in the SE and Trophy, so clearly they can be programmed as shortcuts.
