In the latest podcast it was confirmed that MG4 owners are going to get an update to LKA after it being reported to the various safety institutions as potentially dangerous. Does anybody know if MG ZS EVs are also going to get the update? My LKA on my ZS is currently turned off, because it simply doesn't work and tries to divert you either into the kerb or worse into oncoming traffic!

I wouldn't expect any major updates on ZS with new models coming out ... I'm not using my LKA (tried it once on empty M25 and it's OK but no thanks) and I see no use of it with our roads where half of them have no visible lines painted on the road ... For it to work as we want it to, it needs to be so well integrated with the rest of safety features (collision, pedestrian, even potholes which we don't have) that it's simply not possible now ... even Teslas, misinterpret things on the road and slam into other cars, trucks, etc ...

Let's hope so as the ZS is version is equally as bad. Lane keep assist is the worst Vs lane follow (double stalk pull). As they share the same issues, no doubt the software has shared libraries.

I have kept say on here it is dangerous - something needs to be done.

I have turned the LKA to minimum sensitivity and it just gives a gentle nudge when you approach the line, nothing vicious, you can also set it to just vibrate the steering wheel too. I don't find it a problem.

Steering wheel vibrate mode seems to work well for me to

I turned off LKA as it almost caused an accident when a HGV drifted into my lane on the motorway, i tried to avoid him by moving to the next lane but the MG kept pulling me back in the lane.

Just tested today, and LKA stays off after park brake applied even with passenger door opening.
Not sure why it turned back on for me before.
OPD stayed on, but LKA turned on, so there's a difference in what returns them to default.

He wasn’t drifting in front of me, it was alongside

need to drive faster 😉... or what I do on a peaceful day is use the truck in front as a windbreaker

"In scaled wind-tunnel tests, driving 100 feet behind a semi at 55 mph will reduce drag on your car by 40%. The drag reduction increases as you approach the bumper of the truck until you get a 93% drag reduction at a distance of 2 feet"
😂
