I have previously noticed that after rain there were a few drops of water on the passenger seat near the central consul but could find no signs of water around the sunroof. Today I went to check the cars 12v battery after several days of the car not being used, inside the passenger seat was covered in water. After careful checking I found that the water was dripping through the mesh around the sunroof operating button. I checked the sunroof to check that nothing was preventing it from closing properly but all seemed ok. Has anybody else experienced this?

I’m sorry to hear this and hope that you get it sorted. I’ve not experienced this but I’ve come across owners who have said their sun roof drain holes were blocked causing leaks. I think that it’s worth opening your roof and looking around the roof aperture to see if there’s anything obvious. I’m sure that others will also provide advice. water leaks are horrible - good look in sorting it out.

Far too much water for condensation but I will see if I can find the drain holes although I could see no water in the channels. Thanks for the suggestions

I had a look at mine today and I couldn’t see any drain holes either. It looks as though it is designed so water should no go past the sunroof rubber surround. Maybe these on yours are allowing water past as you’re getting water through the headlining near the sunroof switchgear.

Look into the plastic grills above the front top suspension mounts, you’ll see a black rubber tube sticking out. That’s the ends of the drainage pipes.
