Left Star Button

Hi, has anyone, had any issues with the left star button? I set up the brake regen on the right side and it works with no issues, however, the AC is set up on the left and does not respond to the toggle switch. I changed it over to the right and it works fine, but the left appears not to work.

Does the left toggle switch work with other functions, if not it's probably a faulty switch.

Yes, I have a feeling that it's either the switch or a software issue. It's not a big enough problem to go chasing the dealer yet, so I might sit on it until its first service.

I think some stuff on the left hand star is for when the car is with Car play or visa versa. i have my left star button to bring up the surround cameras and it works great. Right hand I have AC etc.

Hi Ann, I haven't been using Android Auto lately and it's happening. I've checked it out and the left toggle works when I use it in the MG pilot settings, so I'm thinking it's a software glitch on mine. No big deal, just would be useful to have the AC working on it.

Mine seems to occasionally forget what i programmed the left star switch for. I use it for drive modes but sometimes the car forgets and the option is blank until i re choose a favourite.

The brake regen should work by pressing the star to change levels, and sequence through them. No need to use the toggle.

Hi I thought the same when I set it up on left Star. expected an option to appear on the screen. Then noticed it just changed it with each press of the star button. changing the level on the steering wheel screen at bottom right.
