Hi everyone, first time charging my trophy and noticed that the headlights and rear lights have come on and stay on whilst charging. Should this be the case or have I not done something as the scan shows everything normal.

Did you inadvertently unlock the car after starting the charging? (My lights stay off when charging and the car is locked).

Or have you set cabin preheat going? (That always turns the lights on. Not sure if battery preheat also does this).

This is useful to know. My neighbour’s livingroom window lies directly across from my driveway and I wouldn’t want to dazzle them when watching the telly.

No - Your headlights and tail lights should NOT be on when you are charging surely ?.

?‍♂️just been and checked and I have left the lights on manually. I remember I set it to manual lights rather than automatic on my drive home from work. Thanks for the replies all.
Every day is a school day ( as they say ) no worries, mark it up and move on !.
The only daft question, is the one that is not asked.
Enjoy your car !.

Umm….

I’ve got mine on charge just now and the lights are all on. There is also a buzzing noise from the front of the car. Is this normal? I don’t really want the lights to be on all night when charging.

It’s ok, just realised it was all still powered on, doh!! The estimated time to 100% has suddenly halved. Panic over!

Hi Shengis I had moved the light stalk switch from auto to manual lights which meant the light stayed on. Unsure on the buzzing sound, I’m sure someone will have the answer.

You left it unlocked? I presume locking the car powers it down?

Yes, and also locks the charge plug into the car.

Note: I usually find on mine that when I plug it in (with the wall box in the standby-ready mode, waiting for the signal from the car) then the car auto-locks.

You can get your car in your garage? ?
I thought the same thing. Even when it was empty, my garage door is so narrow that I had to fold my wing mirrors when reversing in. I only did it a couple of times and then got fed up with the hassle. That’s why the Zappi is installed outside the garage door.

Yes, although only just. Previous cars I’ve folded the auto mirrors in to get through the door. This one with the mirrors out is extremely tight!

Plus to get the granny charger to reach from a socket I need to reverse it in which makes getting out of the car extremely tight as well!

Once I get a home charger fitted in early Jan I’ll be able to drive it straight in but might fold the drivers mirror in to give more room because I only have a few mm clearance!!
