Location of vehicle

It has never occurred to me before but I have just discovered that when I try to find the location of my ZS the ismart app shows the location of my phone...NOT the vehicle.

I discovered this by trying to access the location of my vehicle from Kingston, Jamaica where I was helping my mother celebrate her 100rh birthday...knowing that it was in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.

Any pointers as to how to correct this?

Given that the position is presumably taken from the car's GPS system, it's hard to imagine how this could happen. I guess most phones also have GPS and some also run Android, there is some chance of confusion...

Is the phone Android?

There are two markers in the app, one is a red dot in a white circle (the phone logged in to the account), and a blue car symbol which is your car. Which one are you seeing in Kingston?

Have you tried zooming out and scrolling across "the pond" to the UK to see if the blue car icon is there?

Just tried that...no trace.

I wonder if the car is hibernating? Does the app update and show you the state of charge etc?

Yes. In fact it was the post about how well the app was now working that prompted me to check. Shows everything I could ask for...except for the correct location!!

not sure if you have tried this but open the app select the MG icon the find car map is hidden until you scroll down

Our ZS is always showing as being in the next village in the middle of a playing field 3 miles away when I can almost touch it out of our study window
