MG 3 2024 Windshield Replacement

Mine has a crack, and I’ve been searching online but can’t find any replacements available. I’m wondering how companies like Autoglass are handling this.

If you’ve sourced one or know where to get it, please let me know. Any general thoughts and/or discussion also welcome.

Had a crack. Dealer replaced the front screen. Now the rain sensor doesn't work anymore. It took them 5 (FIVE!!!) hours to replace the frontscreen. @www.vanmossel.nl is a shitty dealer

When my Peugeot needed windscreen changing, Paulussle, AutoGlass asked me before they came which of the two types I had maybe you got the wrong one fitted?

Talking Autoglass, Maverick, why not ask them to change yours?

@David38 Mainly because I recently had to replace the windshield on my partner’s Jaguar E-Pace and managed to save £860 compared to the Autoglass quote by sourcing the glass myself and having an independent fitter install it. Planning to do the same for my MG, as the usual big-name providers are just too expensive. Not to mention the lack of availability for some of the new MG parts.

Before anyone suggests going through insurance, the crack wasn’t caused by a stone chip, or anything I could realistically put through the insurer.

I have since managed to get a quote from Stoneacre MG for £230 + VAT for the windshield, but they couldn’t give a lead time as it’s currently on back order. Seems like I can get one, but no idea how long the wait will be. Which still causes me to wonder how the likes of Autoglass would deal with this lack of availability.
