I think I've finally found a kit designed for our vehicle. Looks like this fitting kit will allow a standard Thule clamp + bars to fit our vehicle?

The suggestions on Thule's page that lists that PDF are either out of stock (Nautical Ventures) or only have a version rated to fit "...Mazda 3 4-Door Sedan or Mazda 3 5-Door Hatchback" (response from Peter Glenn Ski & Sports).

Got a previous Thule Evo wing assembly already, all I need is that fit kit, specifically, items #1023, #1024, #1025, #1026, #414 and #599 (see pix)

Reached out to Thule and found compatible roof rack options for the rail-free Excite:

The MG5 Excite (assuming it's the same for you in the West Indies) was the pre-facelift version which was, I think, no longer available after early-2022 The page you linked specifically refers to "MG5 2023 onwards" so may not be applicable to any earlier model, e.g., the MG5 Excite.

Hi all, I think a lot of people will find this picture very useful and long awaited! The Thule roof bars for MG5 (if select our flat roof type when selecting) fit really well for our excite model and feel very secure and professional.

I’ve got the raised type of roof rails on my PFl long range five.
I’m interested in fitting a roof tent - especially now that Go Outdoors have introduced their latest version which is actually cheaper than the one I looked at before.
My Daughter is concerned about me doing the monkey act climbing in and out of it ?
Does anyone here have any experience of rooftop camping with their car ?

Yes, for the pre-facelifted MG5 Excite sans roof rails, "normal roof" is the one to choose.

Just thought I would add a note if its useful for anyone - I purchased these from Amazon

"Menabo BRIO - Roof bars for cars with open railing, 120 cm"

They fit my MG5 LR pre facelift fine, used with a roof bag for 1000 mile trip from the Channel islands to Cornwall and back and all good.

Sorry should have added - Its an Exclusive LR

Also the bars and roof bag didn't seem to reduce the range by too much. I did a non stop Falmouth to Wiltshire run at 190 miles and I still had 18% / 40 miles range left when I arrived. Here is a pic of the bag and roof bars. I didn't want a box as I have nowhere to store it.
