Hi all… apologies if this is an obvious question but as an EV newbie I’m scraching my head. Twice I’ve been to a Podpoint charger, 1st time was a 7kw charger and the car charged at 3kw/hr. I put that down to the car being at 75% charged when I started.
2nd time I went to a 22kw charger and the car charged at 5kw. Granted there was a user on the other side of the charger but still seems low.
Is this normal?
I’m using the type 2 cable supplied with the car.
I’ve also used an InstaVolt tethered charger which seemed fine.

Not sure, but I've found the podpoint in our local town centre (Didcot) is very variable.

Sometimes I get back to the car and don't seem to have got very much extra.

Can't complain though because its free and I can charge at home!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The type2 supplied with your car will be 32A single phase.
You will only get a maximum of 7kW from a 7kW or 22kW 3 phase EVSE and only 3.3kW from an 11kW EVSE.
