Thank you for your thoughts but I'd hazard a guess that as my car had the 'next service due' set to 6000 miles from new and since it got to 6000 miles it flags up that a service is due, I reckon the two might just be connected, rather than it being down to my start up routine....

I haven't changed my start up procedure in the 5 months from new so it is unlikely to be operator error with the service due alert or the speed limit sign recognition failing.

Got my car back from the dealer and speed recognition working heating system working but now as everyone else has experienced after the update the star keys are not working, just resets to vehicle on the main menu. Oh well another trip to the dealer. Has anyone else managed to get this resolved yet?
