My brand new 3 month old MG HS PHEV makes a loud clicking noise and then loses all its charge in its 12v battery. Then it won't start again unless jump started.
I spoke to a fellow MG owner and he seemed to think that the clicking noise sounds like a starter motor and questioned if the cars' computer is trying to engage the petrol starter motor when the battery is losing power hence why the sound occurs in the middle of the night - ~ 6 hours after it was last driven.
It's still with the mechanics. They changed the battery and that didn't fix it. Now they are waiting on China to run some diagnostics. I am based in Australia so this is not ideal.
Any idea of what is wrong with it. Has anyone experienced something similar? All ideas welcome.
