If using the phone option ensure you're taking the leading zero off your phone number.
When trying to register my I-Smart account yesterday, I though I would try entering my mobile number first and give it a go !.
I dropped the first ZERO from my number and the entered the rest of number behind the +44 prefix already shown on the screen.
To my great surprise, a few seconds latter, I received a SMS message with a one time a verification code !.
You have to be a bit smart entering the code and then your chosen password etc, because you are working against a count down timer.
If you delay, you will be "Timed Out" and you have to start over again !.
Have details written down, together with your chosen password.
This needs to be entered twice.
I managed to get it all in and confirmed with about 6 seconds to spare.
It will then ask you if you what to "Bind" to the car NOW or LATER.
I choose LATTER, each time you open and then unlock the App, it will repeat the request.
When we collected our car today, I just "Paired" my phone to the car first ( via Blue Tooth ) then I scrolled through the setting's, until I found the "Bind" button at the bottom of the screen.
Hit the "Bind" button and have your phone ready to go.
When you hIt the "Bind" button, it will open a "I-Smart" window on the info screen of the car and will then display a large QR code, on the right hand side of the screen.
Point the camera of your phone at the QR code and it will capture it straight away.
Your phone will then open up the I-Smart control screen and your done.
You should now have a working App that connects with your car.
If you open the App and click on the "Vehicle Status" button ( just above the image of your car in the upper left corner ) it will open another screen and carry out a complete health check of the car on your phone.
It will run through a percentage scale from 0% to 100% and then load a fully list of information checked and there status shown in detail.
