MG iSmart App Updated

3 less taps to turn on ac and heated seat!
Now if they could get get rid of the undismissable confirmation popup.

Does it still take several attempts to make a connection to the car each time you want to use it?

I do not think that has improved. When I first tried the new app it gave me the remote connection error. I then obtained a status update and tried again to see the new HVAC page and it worked.

Lovely new feature, on battery page description remains at long trip mode regardless what % I set e.g. 80%.. Fantastic (Iphone v2.05)

Works on Android. The page needed to update before the long-trip mode words disappeared and the health mode appeared. I exited the app then re-entered and the health modestill held. Will see what tomorrow brings.

Observations:

  • When I open the app it refreshes and shows the current status. I no longer need to pull down on the screen to force another refresh to get the info to update :D
  • Everything else looks the same as v2.02 (Android)

Have you looked at the HVAC page? The temperature control is different and, I think, the seat heating.

Is the page different depending on the car model?

My HVAC page only has the slider for temperature ... the SE doesn't have the other features. I think previously it was a number wheel for the temperature, and maybe (I can't remember) a separate button for sending the updated temperature to the car - so yes, that's a change. :)

After some bad changes and updates in the past, I’m always a little hesitant to update… looks to be ok? ?

I used the updated app (Iphone) last night to set my sceduled charge and times. All went well - everything has charged OK and up to my limit this morning ?

Also, the heated seat controls were on a separate screen that was accessed from a button below the "Where the **** did I park?" button on the front screen

It would be really useful if each reference to updated App gave whether Android or iOS, and version ;)

I downloaded iOS v2.0.4 as a new MG4 owner last week, and getting to grips with it today. Interested to see it says "latest version" when I tried to update in the App, but above refers to v2.0.5... so went to App Store and lo and behold, v2.0.5 available there(y)

Yeh...reported this to the dealer as well. It also changes the percentage in the car.
I found out when it actually was charging. It was supposed to do 90% but then I saw 80%. After two attempts to change it the level remained at 90%. And it charged up to 90%.

The battery setting reverted to 100% today from the 80% I set yesterday. (As happened with the previous app version.) When I again set it to 80% the app said 'Failed' but when I went back to the main battery page and the refresh had finished it showed health mode and the setting page showed 80%. (Android)

on my iOS version it is exhibiting strange behaviour with the charge level settings, the grey indicator on the battery graphic changes with the max % setting but the description remains as Long Trip Mode
