I have a mg ZS EV 2023 I got it in January this year.
I can't connect to mg ismart it's been back to the garage about 20 times .
Mg told me it was because the car was not activated when it was first sold and it needs the Tbox activated is this a thing and is it right.

My iSMART was working for about a year, then it stopped. Miles Roberts from Chorley MG kindly confirmed that the car was bound correctly to an account.

Garage had it in 2-3 times and MG said that they need to replace the aerial and then TBOX.

It took the garage almost 3 weeks to 'fix' - the new TBOX didn't take the prescribed software update to work with the car, so it looks as though they updated the existing TBOX software and now everything works again. Probably could have been updated in 1/2 day to be honest. Sigh.

I really think some local MG garages need to get their act together and learn how to fix the car without having to go to "Chinese server" for answers ... same for the spare parts - it's easier to order something when needed (and have us wait 4 weeks for it) than have a decent amount of bits and pieces available within the country...

My app has been working, mostly ok, for two and a half years but it stopped working on Thursday.
I now can't communicate with the car, 2022 mg zs trophy, at all!
My nearest main dealer is unless so I won't bother with them.
Very frustrating, any ideas?

it comes and goes and also depends on mobile signal coverage. probably not worth a special trip to dealers for another week or so, see what happens. some dealers are next to useless in pinpointing issues ..
read somewhere that there might be data limit on MG app/car so if you were using it a bit too often, could that be the reason?
