MG like Kia?

Today a strange thing parked next to a red Kia and thought how much it resembled my blue MG .
Later at another location parked next to a blue Kia and my wife remarked which is ours.
Question is are the makers/designers related?

You're keeping us all in suspense... which models? ZS (obviously) compared to what... a Mark 1 Kia Niro maybe? Obviously the ZS is not similar to an EV6 or EV9 and I don't think I've seen an EV3 on the road yet.

I saw one today in the shopping centre carpark. It was striking enough to divert me over to it to give it the once over!

I think the ZS Hybrid looks more like a Qashqai, I've mistaken them a couple of times.

To be fair, the Across is a Toyota Rav-4 Plug In Hybrid (with 300ish HP) with a different front end, and that one is even more expensive. So not your typical city car.

I test drove the Kia before test driving the MG very similar but purchased the MG as more than £5000 cheaper.
