Mg zs ev charging door not opening

My mg zs ev charging door/flap not opening, I have tried lock unlock the car many times still its not opening is there any way to open it as I’m unable to charge my car at the moment.

Don't panic, there is an emergency release cable under the bonnet, just above the orange cables near the windscreen washer bottle on the left. It will possibly still have the label on it and has a black plastic covered loop at the end to help pull it. Hope this will allow you to charge and even clear whatever is stopping you open the flap from the outside.

I thought the manual release loop was for the cable connector when it locks and won’t release after charging…
Didn’t think this had anything to do with the charging door panel… ?

Pour hot water over it, that works for some if cold

You are probably right, fortunately I've never had to use it! On the whole I think I've been lucky and have a car where pretty much everything works OK, not that I've tried Tesla charging yet!

which model is it, I see you just joined, is it still new?

I know this may sound silly but are you pressing the door flap in towards the 'Engine Bay', that releases the catch on the door, a bit like pressing the top button on a pen sends the tip out and pressing it again sends it back in.
