Is anyone transporting e-bikes with a total weight over 50 kg on a hitch mount? I plan to load two e-bikes, stripped down, without batteries, but I can't get under 50 kg with the rack. Has anyone tried this and found that the car handles it well? Thanks.

I wanted to do 4 bikes > 50kgs too - the only way I could figure it out was to use a trailer of sorts, although I could not find anything reasonably priced.

The other issues are how it would affect handling and also how to store it when at your destination. :-/

I thought the limit on roof rails is 75kg, would that work for you? Have you checked the instructions manual?

roof rail is 75 kg, but Trailer hitch vertical limit is only 50 kg. My e-bike is with holder 56kg. So if somebody tried similar i would like hear about your experience. 50 kg is too small, most of vehicles has 75+

yes without battery e-bike is 21kg , it is not unusual
How heavy is your bike rack? I've been using this bike rack for years with ebikes and found it very sturdy, weighs just under 7kg, if you can find something like this where you live.

15 kg has bike rack. but this is in our countryone of the lightest. Me interesting if somebody tried drive with 55 kg cargo (bike or etc)

My bike is an electric folding city bike style. It folds in half and fits easily in my MG 5 leaving plenty of space for other luggage.

Nice but my e-bike isnt like this. I need know if somebody is traveling with bikes and holders with weight more than 50 kg - 55 kg for example. .)

I haven't measured the total weight of my Thule rack and two ebikes (batteries and heavy attachments removed). It would probably be more than 50kg in total. I wouldn't worry about being a little over the nominal limit.

thanks i am glad that somebody is here with similar e-bikes and weight and is transport it on MG ZS EV :) thanks for your experience
