There is a button to apply the parking brake though.Not quite sure why you would want to do that considering there is no 'Hand Brake'.

You have to learn to press the accelerator incrementally until the car is happy there is enough power to overcome gravity...then it releases.... Find a quiet spot & experiment with it ??Thanks for everyone’s input.
The problem is that if you are on any sort of slope the park button does not release automatically and smoothly when you press the accelerator . Sometimes you lurch forward or backwards depending whether you are in D or R.
It really is a pain in the arse.
