Hi all,
Odd one for you, I am looking for suggestions. My order is placed around end of Dec 2022 for LR Trophy connect directly through a dealership. But no delivery date at sight and also MG UK said the same.
I changed my job around same time and just recently finished probation period. Now that allows me to use company salary sacrifice scheme, I think by Zenith. It does have good package for same LR Trophy connect compared to direct dealership package. They are advising 23week lead time through Zenith. Do I cancel direct order and go for salary sacrifice, what would be impact on the order que? Financially sure this is better but I am more concerned about delivery date. I do need car before end of this year. Any suggestions?? Do MG UK strictly following order que, first come first serve??

Ok an update! Just re-ordered through the salary sacrifice. It's a good offer! I will be back at the order que..but hoping MG do produce cars in batch so won't be too long once they start production. I will cancel my direct Dec2021 order...

Just seen that VW have sold out the allocation for USA and Europe until 2023 so if you order any VW group car VW Audi Skoda seat or Porsche you won't get it till next year so in same boat as us

Does anyone know the factory capacity of the MG ZS line for RHD? I suppose it should be few 100s a day, isn't it?

I've no idea but as they batch build it won't be RHD all the time as most of the market is LHD. It could be months between a RHD line build.

So, I'm in the same boat as most of you. Ordered in Dec for Apr 2022 delivery which has now been pushed back to Aug 2022. MG do batch build, I know this because I contacted about 20 MG dealerships around the UK - when I was aiming to try and snap one up from a dealership that had one - and was told this by a very helpful salesperson. Looks like they hold dispatch until they have a full shipping load to send to the UK.

I took advantage of the Affinity scheme which gave me a hefty discount on the ZS Trophy LR. I did find some garages that had the vehicle in stock ready to go, but the Affinity discount has now changed and I wouldn't be getting anywhere near the same discount as before. So much do, that the base price of the basic model ZS SR was the same price that I secured for the LR Trophy when placing my order. Bonkers!

Well, ordered ZS LRT via Octopus in Jan (booked a pre-ordered car from November)... The date is now pushed from May to September. The original date was at the end of January!
My current lease ends in July. It's exhausting it is really good deal but now I regret I didn't book KIA or Hyundai.
Wonder when the farce will hit the media. I have seen recent advertisement for new MG ZS I can't see how they try to convince people to order when they can't fulfil previous orders. Also the lack of transparency or communication is really disappointing! Had they put forward the problem back in January I would have ordered a different car. Now I'm stuck with some hope that the MG will ever arrive.

first of all let me be honest I need to buy lottery tickets…. This was a dealer order that was submitted 2nd November for stock cars and it appears no one in my area wanted the lipstick red one they had ordered.

If you check his posts you can see why he might be right...

If it's the 10-digit reference from their central ordering system, then you can quote that and try emailing [email protected]

They do have a phone number too (0203 917 5821), but I've never gotten through on it. Either way, be prepared for a generic response. Good luck!
